My background is from working in both the private and public environment, with over thirty years' experience in the IT and Sexual Health sectors.
From 2005, I retrained as a counsellor in Gestalt Therapy, a holistic approach based on addressing the whole person - mind, body and spirit. This approach has provided the basis for my counselling and subsequent coaching services. I also integrate aspects of brief therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy, and draw on my own life experience.
As a counsellor and coach, I am committed to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. This creates a working relationship together, where you can find the time and space to talk. Together we can explore the problems or difficulties you may be experiencing or wider life goals you may be seeking help with. To acquire the means to help support yourself better, and to live life more fully.
With my extensive years of experience, I have helped people talk through specific counselling issues, such as: Anxiety, Low self-esteem, Depression, Family issues, Low self-confidence, Sexuality, Relationship issues, Work related stress, Anger management, Low self-esteem, LGBTQ+ counselling, Sexual risk issues, HIV. (This is not an exhasutive list).
In addition, I have helped people talk through wider coaching issues, such as: redundancy, working relationships, and next stages of career and life.
